Babyface reveals testing positive for COVID-19 along with family in Instagram post on 62nd birthday

Kenneth ‘Babyface’ Edmonds celebrated his 62nd birthday on Friday with special gratitude after he and his family tested positive for COVID-19.

The R&B producing legend took to Instagram to thank ‘everyone for all the many birthday wishes today’.

‘I feel so blessed to celebrate another birthday. I tested positive for the Covid19 virus, as did my family. It’s an incredible scary thing to go through my friends,’ he posted for his roughly 386,000 followers.

‘I’m happy to report we have now tested negative and are on our way back to full health,’ Babyface added.

Babyface in 2007 started dating his backup dancer Nicole ‘Niko’ Pantenburg and they have an 11-year-old daughter Peyton together.

Niko and Babyface got married in May 2014.

He previously was married to second wife Tracey Edmonds, 53, from 1992 to 2005.

Babyface and Tracey have sons Brandon, 23, and Dylan, 19, together.

The 11-time Grammy Award winner added in his post that he was officially accepting an invitation from Swizz Beatz and Timbaland to participate in their Verzuz beat battles on Instagram Live.

Babyface said he would join his ‘little brother’ Teddy Riley, 52, ‘in what I’d like to call a Celebration of Black Music Excellence in – Teddy vs Babyface’.

‘So get ready for a night of groove and love. Ladies…put on your red dress…light the candles, pour some wine, and don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes,’ he added.

‘Teddy!!! Let’s show them what Hip Hop/R&B music really means to the world!,’ Babyface concluded.

Babyface versus Teddy will take place April 18 at 9 pm EST on their Instagram Live.

They were originally scheduled to square off April 5, but it was postponed due to Babyface and his family being infected with the novel coronavirus,
